RESEARCH SCIENTIST, Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research-Chen Lab (multiple openings), to join a lab developing novel CAR-NK cell therapy for cancer and/or mRNA-based vaccine development in the laboratory of Professor Jianzhu Chen. The lab is interested in someone broadly-trained with a strong background in immunology, molecular and cell biology, and computational biology. Responsibilities include developing a specific research project and designing and implementing research protocols; troubleshooting and customizing experimental tools to respond to research questions; designing safety procedures; adapting new procedures, methods, or instrumentation relative to research procedures; collecting, preparing, and analyzing research data; generating clear and timely records of experimental work; maintaining computer database of research data; tabulating and displaying data for presentation at research conferences and for manuscript preparation; using graphics and statistical software to analyze and present data; communicating ideas and results with lab members; supervising other personnel in the laboratory to coordinate research efforts as needed; participating in the training of graduate students and technicians as needed; searching pertinent scientific literature as needed; and assisting with the ordering and procurement of supplies and equipment and with general laboratory maintenance.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: Ph.D. in a relevant field; a background in immunology, molecular and cellular biology, and/or computational biology; and a minimum of four years of postdoctoral experience. Job #20368
