Job Summary

The Research Scientist will perform theoretical analysis of non-equilibrium superconductivity in two-gap superconductors, including Magnesium Diboride. The successfiul candidate will develop a two-gap model of the photon detection process in superconducting nanowire single photon detectors, based on generalized time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau theory. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing theoretical analysis, guiding numerical simulations, and analyzing data in comparison with experiments. A proven track record of publications in the field of superconducting device physics, including superconducting nanowire single photon detectors, is required.
