 Research Scientist appointment to function as a Principal Investigator of the Injury Biomechanics Research Center (IBRC); conceptualizes, designs, implements and directs injury biomechanics research that is intended to understand injury criteria and prevention; creates and critiques project proposals, including assisting with student project development; designs and implements required test setup and analysis methods for each research project; extracts, compiles, analyzes and evaluates data; collaborates with other researchers in determining research priorities and planning programs of research; develops, writes and submits grant proposals of original research as principal investigator or co-principal investigator to extramural funding agencies to obtain significant salary and research support from outside funding agencies; ensures day-to-day operations of the IBRC are run effectively; supervises the activities of other investigators and students conducting research in the IBRC including human subject and biological tissue testing; trains junior investigators, post doctoral researchers, graduate students and technicians; participates in supervision of research staff; writes and publishes manuscripts, articles, abstracts and research reports for publication in peer-reviewed journals; attends and presents research findings at national and international scientific conferences.

Required Ph.D, proficient in injury biomechanics, injury mechanisms and prevention, conducting pmhs studies, proficient in data acquisition and analysis related to injury threshold and mechnisms
