|Primary Function of Organizational Unit||
The primary function of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department is to provide educational programs leading to BS, MS and PhD degrees in Chemical Engineering. The administrative unit provides support to the education program and the research programs that reside in the department.
|Essential Job Duties||
Duties and responsibilities of this position will include driving an independent research project as well as collaborating with other lab members on their projects related to addiction and chromatin biology. In addition, this position is for a senior group member that can act as a role model and mentor to graduate students in the group. Day to day duties include designing and conducting wetlab experiments, manuscript writing and preparation, and training students in new experimental techniques.
Present work at group meetings and conferences. Standard laboratory duties.
Relevant PhD with a minimum of 3 years of postdoctoral experience.

-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
|Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education||
Strong experimental expertise in mammalian cell culture, molecular biology, synthetic biology, confocal microscopy, tissue engineering, viral transduction, or biochemistry.
