Description of Work
As the Research Project Coordinator, you will:
  • Be responsible for long-term and day-to-day scheduling of research projects that are critical to the existence and advancement of the research program in dairy nutrition and support the extension program in dairy nutrition.
  • Oversee data collection, organization, and analysis for faculty supervisors.
  • Be responsible for written or verbal presentation and discussion of research to research sponsors.
  • Ensure that all experiments are carried out in accordance with standards set by the Animal Care and Use committee.

This position is located on UNL’s East Campus in Lincoln; home to the beautiful Maxwell Arboretum, UNL Dairy Store, and plenty of parking.

Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in animal science, laboratory science, animal health technology, or related field, plus three years laboratory or related experience required.
  • Skill in basic data collection, analysis, and report writing required.
  • Precision, accuracy, and attention to detail essential.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of computer ration balancing software (i.e. CPM-Dairy) and statistical computer software (i.e. R, minitab, SAS) preferred but not required.

Physical Required No
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required. Subject to DOT approved pre-employment & random testing for alcohol and controlled substances.
