We are looking for a highly motivated and committed individual to serve as a casual Research Program Assistan t for the Generation Tomorrow program, a unique HIV and HCV education, testing, and counseling training program. The Research Program Assistant will assist with HIV and HCV-related projects and community events and serve as an assistant in organizing community HIV and HCV testing events.


Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Help coordinate and organize HIV and HCV community testing events.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the Infectious Disease-Emergency Department HCV testing protocol.
  • Assist in the design and development of protocols and research instruments (e.g., questionnaires, data collection forms).
  • Assist in basic data analysis in close collaboration with other research staff (database manager, statistician, Principal Investigators).


Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Interpersonal skills to interview, teach, and advise patients and research subjects.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate care within and outside the team.
  • Ability to function independently with a high degree of self-motivation.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or graduation equivalent.
  • Some related experience.
  • Knowledge of computer-based applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Some college courses preferred.

Starting Salary Range: $15.25 - $23.00 HRLY ($19.13 HRLY targeted; Commensurate with experience) 
Employee group: Casual / On Call 
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm 
Exempt Status: Non-Exempt 
Location: Hybrid/School of Medicine Campus
