About the Department
 

Our group is broadly interested in the chemistry and biochemistry of nucleic acids, with particular emphasis on RNA and RNA catalysis. Our laboratory integrates organic chemistry, physical chemistry, enzymology, and molecular biology to gain a fundamental understanding of nucleic acid structure and mechanisms of RNA catalysis. Using the principles and techniques of organic chemistry and molecular biology, we manipulate the structure of RNA molecules at precise locations in ways that are designed to elucidate questions about biological function.

Job Summary
 

The job performs assignments that facilitate and promote a research project or contributes to the scientific direction of a research resource.

Responsibilities

• Perform antibody engineering.

• Characterize antibody antigen interactions.

• Perform macromolecular purification and crystallization.

• Manage relevant laboratory operations.

• Performs experiments and collects and analyzes data. Participates in the promotion of a research project.

• May present work at scientific meetings.

• Performs other related work as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
 

Education:

Minimum requirements include a PhD in related field.

Experience:

• Experience with phage display.

• Experience with antibody purification.

• Experience with macromolecular crystallization and nucleic acid biochemistry.
