Job Summary
 

Professor Bradley Shapiro is looking for a highly-skilled and motivated individual to work as a full-time research professional, for a period of at least one year but ideally two years. The research professional will collaborate with Professor Shapiro on marketing and economic problems. The position will give the research professional the chance to develop skills that will prepare them for a future career in research.

Responsibilities

  • Collects, cleans, and analyzes complex data.
  • Writes results for inclusion in presentations and publications.
  • Performs literature reviews and compiles citations.
  • Maintains technical and administrative support for a research project.
  • Analyzes and maintains data and/or specimens. Conducts literature reviews. Assists with preparation of reports, manuscripts and other documents.
  • Performs other related work as needed.


Minimum Qualifications
 

Education:

Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.

Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through < 2 years of work experience in a related job discipline.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree.

Experience:

  • At least one year of relevant experience.

Technical Skills or Knowledge:

  • Computer skills, familiarity with STATA or R and Python.

  • Work independently to solve problems.
  • Long-term interest in pursuing research in marketing or economics.
  • Background in economics, business or marketing.
  • Excellent and professional verbal, written, and presentation skills, as well as organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time-management skills and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Eagerness to take initiative and solve intricate problems.

Working Conditions

  • This position is currently expected to work a minimum three days per week in the office.
