Position Highlights

The newly established Systems Immunology laboratory at the University of Arizona, led by Dr. Prabhu Arunachalam, is seeking a motivated Research Professional I. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to work with a new investigator who is not only dedicated to pursuing impactful research but also to mentoring trainees. The laboratory investigates the impact of aging with chronic infectious diseases using state-of-the-art multiomic approaches.

The successful candidate will be a part of a highly collaborative team dedicated to learning fundamental immunology through systems approaches to improved health. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Collaborate and assist PI in the planning and design of research projects that investigate the impact of aging with chronic infectious diseases.
  • Conduct fundamental laboratory components and procedures.
  • Engage with members of the lab in data collection and analyze research findings, judging validity and reliability of data, and produce written reports on the result of the analysis.
  • Identify and recommend solutions to scientific problems relating to immunology experiments.
  • Participate in scheduled group meetings.
  • Assist with laboratory management including organization, upkeep, and procurement of laboratory tools and materials related to immunology research.
  • Comply with and address administrative inquiries concerning regulatory guidelines and protocols.
  • Contribute to or author articles in peer-reviewed journals, books, or chapters.
  • Communicate scientific findings by participating in or presenting at conferences.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.
  • One (1) year of relevant work experience required.
