Research Nutritionist provides program support for nutritional research projects or studies.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Follows established research protocols.
  • Conducts behavioral and nutritional assessments including diet, medical, socioeconomic, and drug history.
  • May provide individual or group psychological, behavioral, and nutritional counseling to study participants as specified by protocol. Implements diet interventions and evaluates effectiveness.
  • Collects research data and ensures accuracy of data files.
  • Maintains research records and files. Analyzes study data and prepares related reports.
  • May develop, implement, and evaluate patient educational materials.
  • Participates in study recruitment activities.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in food and nutrition or dietetics.
  • Completion of an American Dietetic Association approved dietetic internship program.
  • Registered with the American Dietetic Association.
  • Licensed as a dietitian in the state of Georgia, or is licensure eligible.
  • Preferred: Two (2) years of clinical or research nutrition experience
