Master's degree in a related field and four years of related experience. Additional experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset the educational requirements. Grade 7E

Position Description:

Job Summary

The position will design experiments, develop new experimental approaches, conduct experiments, analyze data analysis, write manuscripts, and train lab members. The position will provide trainings of the team members and oversee the day-to-day management of the Chung lab.  The position will report to the Principal Investigator and will communicate with other co-Investigators to provide updates on the project and planning.  The position will also create, review and modify experimental protocols and will check the compliance of necessary regulatory aspects. The position will also work on documents required for progress reporting and other official reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule workflow
  • Conduct experiments using infectious models
  • Manage lab resources efficiently
  • Lead lab organization and workflow to facilitate works in the lab
  • Protocol development and review
  • Conduct data analysis and create a variety of reports
  • Prepare presentation material for communicating with other co-investigators
  • Train and supervise research staff
  • Review regulatory compliance
  • Perform related duties as assigned
  • Work with outside collaborators
Preferred Qualifications
  • BSL-3 work experience, strong and versatile cell based antiviral and cytotoxicity testing, in vitro virus growth analysis experience, molecular biology technique for cloning and transfection.
  • Experience in virology field with safety trainings.
  • Select agent qualified.

Target Compensation Maximum:

$87,300.00

Target Compensation Minimum:

$58,200.00

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
