Research Manager, Entrepreneurship & Innovation

Princeton University and the African School of Economics (ASE) have an opening for a Research Manager to manage a dynamic portfolio of research projects at the African School of Economics, the Princeton University Politics Department, and the recently created Entrepreneurship and Innovation Hub Africa Initiative (EIH) at Princeton University.


The EIH is a joint initiative between Princeton University and ASE that aims to create a platform for innovators and entrepreneurs from Africa and the United States and the Pan-African Scientific Research Council researcher community to collaborate. It also aims at facilitating R&D partnerships between U.S.-based corporations and African businesses, especially African start-up companies. The EIH initiative will also include collaboration with major public and private organizations in Africa and elsewhere on institutional experimentation.



The Research Manager will:
• Conduct translation research.
• Build and strengthen connections between researchers, state and federal government bodies, NGOs, and international organizations.
• Develop relationships with corporations and facilitate commercialization of research.
• Manage research projects at the EIH and Princeton University.



The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Economics, Social Sciences, Public Policy, or Management or a Master’s degree with relevant experience in research translation.


The position is full time for an initial two-year term with potential for renewal. It is based in Princeton, New Jersey with potential for remote work 1-2 days per week. The position reports to Professor Leonard Wantchekon.
