Research Laboratory Technician I-Pharmacology (GJ)

Under general supervision, provides a wide variety of laboratory testing and technical lab support for a Primary Investigator in the Department of Pharmacology & Neuroscience.  This role requires knowledge of the processes/procedures in testing, documenting experiments, maintaining laboratory notebook, analyzing data, and reporting using complex statistical computer software.

 

This position is 100% grant funded.

 

This position will work Monday to Friday 8am-4:30pm; depending upon research needs position may require evening, weekend, and holiday work.  

 

 

 


Qualifications:

Associate's degree in related field of Science required;
Bachelor's Degree in related Science field preferred;

Accounting management experience preferred;

0-1 year's research lab experience


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: 
Understanding of research methods, laboratory techniques, and care of laboratory equipment; Ability to manage files and records and designing forms;
Ability to record and manage  data, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues; 
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel; PowerPoint and Outlook; 
Detail oriented; 
Analytical skills; 
Strong work ethic;
Strong Interpersonal skills (verbal and written);
Experience of account monitoring,
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays depending upon research needs
