Research Laboratory Technician I - Chemistry

Location: Omaha, NEBRASKA

Under general supervision, the technician provides a wide variety of laboratory testing and technical lab support for a research facility. The research technician will prepare and perform experiments in protein biochemistry, including collection, recording, and analysis of data and results. The technician will assist in sample collection and analysis/interpretation of data. The technician will write and record/maintain precise records relative to all research procedures and results.

 


Qualifications:

Associate's degree in related field of Science required;

Bachelor's Degree in related Science field preferred;
0-1 year's research lab experience

 

 Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: 

Understanding of research methods, laboratory techniques, and care of laboratory equipment;

Ability to interpret data, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues;

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel; PowerPoint and Outlook;
Detail oriented;

Analytical skills;

Strong work ethic, excellent written and communication skills, and the ability to work independently;

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays depending upon research needs

Hearing: 50 – 74%

Standing/Climbing/Mobility: 50 – 74%

Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 25 – 49 % (pound: 15 lbs.)

Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: 75-100%

Travel: No

Exposure to Blood Borne pathogens: No
