The USC Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences is seeking a Research Lab Assistant in the Department of Psychology. The largest and oldest of the USC schools, USC Dornsife functions as the academic core of the university, offering courses and advancing knowledge across the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences.

The Research Laboratory Assistant will work within The Addiction and Self-Control Lab of the Psychology Department. The lab uses behavioral studies and brain imaging to better understand motivation and decision-making, especially in the context of health-relevant issues like addiction and obesity. They will have the opportunity to work on several studies, but primarily on a brain imaging research project examining the effect of vaping on appetite.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and scheduling participants.
  • Carrying out behavioral testing, helping to carry out functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging sessions.
  • Overseeing data organization.
  • Journal article co-authorship participation is encouraged but not required.

Hourly range: The hourly rate range for this position is $20-$22.
