Position Summary/Description:


The Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is recruiting a Research Investigator to work on research projects related to health care payment and delivery reform, directed by Valerie Lewis, PhD.
A Research Investigator with a strong methodologic background for multiple research studies is needed for projects examining the impact of health care delivery reforms, including population-based payment models as well as models for integrating care for social and medical needs. This position is needed to conduct and assist in the design, analysis and interpretation of diverse quantitative data as well as in-depth, qualitative data with social service and medical providers. This person will work with research team to help develop and operationalize research questions, recommend and apply analytic approaches and assist with interpretation.
The Research Investigator will have the independence to lead related research projects and provide data management and programming support for health policy and delivery research including (a) writing proposals, (b) planning and conducting analyses, © writing manuscripts and findings briefs, (d) supervising and mentoring students, (e) helping with data needs such as qualitative data collection with health care and social service providers.
