Position Summary


Within the Stead Family Department of Pediatrics, The Division of Pediatric Psychology promotes the University's research mission by supporting scientific, scholarly, and creative activities through scientific inquiry, open discovery, dissemination of new knowledge, administering programs, procedures, and policies to assure compliance and to advance research, technology commercialization, or economic development. 


 


The Research Intern will have the opportunity to investigate the neurocognitive and neurobehavioral outcomes associated with pediatric cancer and/or developmental focal lesions. This will involve working with the principal investigator, research assistants, and other collaborators across departments to manage neuropsychological data, assist with neuroimaging analysis, run statistical analyses, and assist with manuscript writing.


 


 Position Responsibilities



  • Organizing cognitive testing results

  • Assist with neuroimaging analysis

  • Manage data entry for studies

  • Assist with preparing figures and manuscripts

Education Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or a related field

Required Qualifications:

Experience Requirements



  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

  • Demonstrated excellent organizational skills. 

  • Experience in data collection, analysis, interpretation, and presentation.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with human subjects.

  • Prior experience in programming.     

  • Prior experience in data analysis and presentation. 

  • Prior experience in biostatistics.
