Responsibilities*

Will work closely with faculty and staff to perform data analysis of existing as well as from on-going studies. Participate in publishing research findings. Will report to the faculty supervisor and will participate in lab management duties.


Required Qualifications*
  • Physics or related Engineering PhD degree
  • Experimental skills for complex multi-physics/biosensors systems
  • Simulation skills for proof-of-concept and validation of experimental data
  • Modeling skills for comparison and performance analysis of analytical to experimental data

Desired Qualifications*
  • Machine learning expertise to analyze radiology images and histology, to detect ossification, analyze soft and hard tissue micro environment using AI/ML and correlate with clinical out comes.
  • Perform time series forecasting, prediction of medical events and outlier detection. Visualize patient trajectories, forecasts and adverse events.
  • Super resolution imaging and blind/non-blind deconvolution using Tikhonov regularization / total variation
  • Deep Learning approaches / UNet / GAN modelling for US,CBCT and H&E/IHC images
  • SVD, matrix factorization and other core signal processing concepts
  • Expertise for data analysis and statistical evaluation inMatlab, C++, and Python
  • High-performance computing skills

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act.
