Summary

An NIH T32-funded postdoctoral research fellow position is immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Allison C. Billi in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Michigan. The lab focuses on basic and translational research into mechanisms of autoimmune and inflammatory skin diseases. Current research areas include cutaneous lupus, rare dermatological diseases, and mouse models of autoimmune disease, as well as multiple internal and interdisciplinary collaborations. Candidates are expected to conduct research independently under the supervision of the PI. Responsibilities include designing and executing research experiments, data management, manuscript preparation, and trainee mentoring. The University of Michigan is home to the UM Skin Biology and Disease Resource-based Center (UM-SBDRC), which provides a Mentorship Program to accelerate career development of postdoctoral members and other trainees. Successful candidates for this research position will become part of a network of invested dermatology, rheumatology, immunology, and computational biology collaborators participating in rich team science.

Due to restrictions of the T32 funding mechanism, candidates will be required to meet the NIH funding requirements to be considered.
