This position is at 100% effort and will involve oversight of a major, multicenter clinical trial in the U.S. Specifically, the candidate will help oversee and manage the Data Coordinating Center, located at Michigan Medicine (Ann Arbor, MI). The position will involve working with the Data Coordinating Center staff to assist with data report creation and analysis, research assistant training and supervision, and engagement with weekly team leadership meetings (in conjunction with Clinical Coordinating Center colleagues). This will include interaction with clinical trial team members, stakeholder personnel, and clinical trial participants. The candidate will also assist with scientific manuscript writing, including both methods and outcomes manuscripts (publication opportunities will be available). Throughout the trial, mentorship will be provided by Dr. Phillip Vlisides (Associated Professor and Executive Director, Neuroscience Research Michigan Medicine) and Dr. Sharon Inouye (Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School and Milton and Shirley F. Levy Family Chair and Director of the Aging Brain Center at the Hinda and Arthur Marcus Institute for Aging Research, Boston MA).

The candidate will help oversee and manage the Data Coordinating Center for a large, multicenter clinical trial in the U.S, located at Michigan Medicine (Ann Arbor, MI).

  • Participant will have a relevant doctoral degree (PhD, PsyD, or equivalent) in the health sciences.
  • Highly professional demeanor and positive attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills
  • English fluency (both oral and written)
  • Prior research experience involving human participants is preferred
  • Experience working with older patient populations is preferred

An understanding of medical terminology is preferred

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
