Job Description

Under supervision of the PI, the Applied Research Engineer conducts research in auditory electrophysiology in order to define, create and develop conceptual and detailed designs, computational models, prototypes of new programming software to work with listeners with or without cochlear implants, assesses functionality and evaluates research systems and interfaces; develops and implements programming scripts to support and enhance auditory electrophysiological research in the Human Auditory Evoked Potential Laboratory (PI He) within the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at The Ohio State University.

Minimum Education Required

Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering with at least two years of working experience with medical devices.

 

Required Qualifications
Proficiency with Matlab and Python is required. Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
