Recent advances in machine learning applied to medical imaging suggests we can get additional value and find hidden clinical correlates from conventional imaging tests. As part of our research group, we use large scale datasets and imaging data to analyze the relationship between imaging vs. genotype vs. health outcomes. Our team includes clinicians, biostatisticians and bioinformaticians focused on high impact cardiovascular clinical research. As a Research Sonographer I - Per Diem, you will manage the data for assigned research studies. Has the responsibility and accountability for recording or annotating 2 Dimensional Echocardiograms/Doppler/Color Flow examinations using ultrasound equipment to provide data for diagnosis of heart ailments. Demonstrates proficiency in the performance of all procedures and competency in the use of all related ultrasound equipment and computers.

Additional responsibilities include the opportunity to participate in making strategic data-related decisions by analyzing and manipulating data and building models to assist in the clinical and operational setting. Perform exploratory data analysis to gauge the need for or appropriateness of advanced analytical methods. Work with business partners to identify areas where data science can best deliver value. Test and validate code to ensure the robustness of data applications. Act as an advisor or thought partner to stakeholders by identifying issues for resolution, providing research expertise and summarizing findings. Collaborate to problem solve and make decisions to achieve desired outcomes. Establish effective working relationships with
cross-functional team(s). 


Educational Requirements:

  • Graduate from a minimum of 2-year accredited ultrasound school

License/Certification/Registration Requirements:

  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)

Experience:

  • Skilled professional with a solid foundation in Echocardiography.
  • At least one (1) year of experience as a full-time sonographer.
