Research Development Administrator, Lead

Job Summary

The RCAC Research Development Administrator will be responsible for developing and growing research funding strategies centered around the newly established university approved Research Software Engineering center (RSE Center).  This position will develop and maintain research relationships with Purdue faculty, government, industry, and foundations. In conjunction with researchers, prepare proposals and annual reports for RSE research projects. Manage the RCAC sponsored research portfolio. You will serve as the main resource for and provide guidance on account management activities for researchers and team members. You will monitor the progress of RSE initiatives and develop metrics, ensure adherence to timeline, maximize resources, and improve processes. This position will provide measurable input to RSE research projects, processes or standards in operational plans. You will proactively grow outreach efforts to promote the RSE Center services and recommend opportunities for additional services. You will collaborate with senior leadership and the communications team to develop and execute a strategic communication plan for the RSE center. You will design and deliver workshops and presentations to the Purdue community and participate in national computing activities and present on RSE services and initiatives. You will also provide mentorship to students.

 

This is a new position where you will have the opportunity to make this your own and be part of the team to grow the new RSE Center. Some of what you will be doing is consorting with the Principal Director of the center writing papers, overseeing projects and presenting at conferences.

What We're Looking For:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Six (6) years of combined experience with strategic planning, program and project management, budgeting, marketing and communications
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be accepted
