JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Department of Agricultural Economics, Sociology, and Education in the College of Agricultural Sciences is seeking an individual trained in agricultural economic, demography, sociology, rural sociology, geography, economic and community development, and/or related field to assist with several short-term demographic and economic data analysis projects within the Center for Economic and Community Development. The position requires a Bachelor's degree (Master of Science degree preferred), or an equivalent combination of education and experience, plus demonstrated experience with retrieving and analyzing Census, BEA, BLS, and other secondary data; ArcGIS; and data management. Experience with data visualization using Excel, Tableau or Microsoft Power BI, including translating analysis into on-line formats, is a plus. Candidates must possess effective communication skills (verbal and written), ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and clientele, and work both independently and as an active member of a team. The candidate must be very organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This is a limited term position for one year from date of hire.

The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
