The College of Arts & Sciences (CAS) is one of the largest academic units on the UW Seattle campus, employing over 1400 tenure-track and research faculty, in 43 departments and centers, and generating an average $120 million dollars in sponsored research each year. The Department of Chemistry at the University of Washington supports the research activities of nearly 45 faculty who apply for and receive funding from a wide variety of public and private agencies. The Department has annual grant and contract expenditures of ~$25 million, and it is home to three federally-funded research centers. The Chemistry Finance Group, under the direction of the Director of Finance, is responsible for oversight, management, and administration of research and financial activities for the Department of Chemistry.

The Chemistry Finance Group has an outstanding opportunity for a Research Coordinator. This position is part of a team of three that provide research administrative support to our faculty. They facilitate pre-award proposal preparation and award reporting processes, interacting with Department and University offices and research personnel related to PI groups and projects.
