The Department of Health Systems and Population Health has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time Research Coordinator to provide project research coordination across a variety of projects. The project portfolio for this position may include managing aspects of and contributing content to 4-6 projects related to evidence-based care for substance use disorders (SUD) for vulnerable populations and related conditions.  Project work for this position will support research related to understanding barriers and facilitators to implementing SUD care in a variety of settings, designing and evaluating novel approaches to providing SUD care to vulnerable populations, and identifying determinants of SUD outcomes for diverse populations.

The Research Coordinator role will include, but is not limited to, contributing to research planning, preparation and monitoring of milestones; subject recruitment, data collection, management, and qualitative and/or quantitative analysis; IRB and other system management and reporting; creation and management of timelines related to multiple competing priorities; supporting federal and local reporting requirements; manuscript preparation; and collaboration with internal and external colleagues of differing experience/roles.

This position will support significant components of multiple health services and outcomes projects spanning internal and external sites, multiple investigators, and multiple clinical disciplines. Some of these projects may be related while others may encompass completely unique teams, sites, and/or topic areas. Projects vary in length of time from six months to 5+ years, meaning that this position may be simultaneously working on projects at every stage of life, from start-up to close-out.

This position will facilitate and address technical development and timely completion of scientific objectives. The Research Coordinator will collaborate with team members and faculty to operationalize research project aims, timelines and milestone goals. In addition, person in this position will effectively communicate goals and priorities to investigators and collaborators to ensure that project deliverables are met on schedule.
