Research Coordinator, TIES
Dean - Social Work
Location:  New Orleans, LA
Summary
Project TIES is seeking a part-time employee (20 hours/week) to assist study of Social Connectedness and Health among Gender Minority People of Color. This study will examine the social support networks of trans and nonbinary people of color both qualitatively and quantitatively and identify strengths and weaknesses in social connectedness that moderate the relationship between minority stress, health, and well-being. Findings will inform future interventions to reduce social isolation, promote resilience, and improve health and healthy aging.
The Research Coordinator assists the Principal Investigator with overall study implementation and coordinates research activities at the research sites, both in-person and remotely.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research design
• Comfort with regular use of technological devices and software such as Zoom, Microsoft, and Google applications.
• Phone and email proficiency and etiquette.
Required Education and/or Experience
• Bachelor's Degree and 1 year of experience with human subject research administration including recruitment and in-depth interviews or assessments.
OR
• High School Diploma (or Equivalent) with 7 years of experience with human subject research administration including recruitment and in-depth interviews or assessments.
Preferred Qualifications
• A meaningful relationship with local trans and nonbinary communities and investment in the communities’ wellness.
• Proactive, effective, and compassionate interpersonal and communication skills.
• Collaborative and self-aware organizational skills.
• Reliable transportation for travel to and from interviews and recruitment sites
Compensation Information
This position is classified as "non-exempt, hourly" and is assigned to pay grade 24.
