Job Summary 

Dr. Michael Lowe is seeking a full-time Research Coordinator to manage an NIH-funded UG3/UH3 POWERS project. The goal of the project is to intensively study metabolic and appetitive drivers of weight regain following weight loss.

Essential Functions 

  • The position involves overseeing the recruitment, screening, consenting, scheduling and monitoring/retention of approximately 100 participants in the 18-month trial.
  • This position requires data entry and monitoring compliance with the IRB, data safety and monitoring protocols, and NIH progress reports.
  • Providing assistance with grant applications and carrying out various administrative tasks.
  • Accompanying participants during several intensive measurement periods held during the project.
  • Opportunities also exist to get involved in other research in Dr. Lowe’s lab, including research on eating disorders.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications 

  • Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Psychology or Equivalent  
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience.

Physical Requirements 

  • Typically sitting at a desk/table.

Location 

  • University City, Philadelphia, PA.

Additional Information 

This position is classified as Exempt, grade I. Compensation for this grade ranges from $ 41,120.00 to $ 61,680.00 per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
