The position will serve as a Research Compliance Specialists in the Center for Vaccine Research. The incumbent is responsible for the Data Quality Assurance Program and for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data for the research procedures in Biosafety Level 2 and 3 (BSL2/BSL3) environments. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing, and implementing training programs to educate faculty, staff, and students on data quality standards and procedures; conduct regular assessments to identify areas for improvement and maintain data integrity by establishing and enforcing quality control processes. Additionally, the incumbent must be proficient in utilizing data quality tools, such as Q-Pulse and eInfoTree, to detect and resolve issues, ensuring that the organization's data meets regulatory requirements and supports informed decision-making. This position will require successful completion of Departmental of Justice security clearances for work with Select Agents and Toxins, as required by Federal regulation.



Job Summary

Oversees regulatory liaison for all clinical sites, coordinating centers, and data management centers and performs grant approval reviews and assists with regulatory reviews. Completes investigator training sessions, assists with compliance investigations, maintains databases, and develops approval guidelines to ensure institutional compliance with all regulations, policies, and applicable regulations.


Essential Functions 

Must be able to read and comprehend the English language and have normal visual ability with no hearing impairments.  Must possess adequate manual dexterity to perform training and observation work within a BSL3/ABSL3 environment.


Physical Effort 

Position involves frequent movement to various places, occasionally involving heavy equipment and prolonged standing or sitting.
