The Research Compliance Specialist I
Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Responsible for training on and providing first line response under general supervision to questions and concerns from investigators, administrators, and the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committees (IACUCs). Additionally, providing key administrative support to the Animal Welfare Office (AWO) to continue compliance and accreditation-related activities, and coordination of the AWO outreach and education initiative.
Commensurate with experience
The Research Compliance Specialist II
Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two years of experience in a related area such as research compliance, grant administration, research administration, animal facility management in an academic setting, performing research and/or teaching with animal subjects, and/or as a veterinary technician. A combination of experience is acceptable.
Responsible for providing first line response under general supervision to questions and concerns from investigators, administrators, and the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committees (IACUCs). Additionally, providing key administrative support to the Animal Welfare Office (AWO) to continue compliance and accreditation-related activities, and coordination of the AWO outreach and education initiative.

Research Compliance Coordinator
Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Three years of direct IACUC regulatory experience in a related area such as research compliance, research administration, animal facility management in an academic setting, performing research with animal (vertebrate) subjects, and/or as a veterinary technician. A combination of experience is acceptable.
Responsible for providing second line response to questions and concerns from investigators, administrators, and the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committees (IACUCs). Additionally, providing key support to the Animal Welfare Office (AWO) to continue accreditation-related activities and coordination of the AWO outreach and education initiative.
Commensurate with experience
Senior Research Compliance Coordinator
Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Four years of direct related experience serving as an Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) or other research compliance professional, animal facility manager in an academic setting, veterinarian or veterinary technician in a research or clinical setting, including at least two years of experience involving the application of Federal regulatory requirements for use of animals in research, teaching, and testing.
Responsible for providing advanced protocol review and advises investigators, administrators, and others on complex compliance matters. Develops and performs training in topics related to protocol review and submission management for department staff.
