Job Summary

The University of Michigan-Dearborn has an exciting opportunity available for a statistics student with great initiative and professionalism to work as a Research Assistant in the Department of Mathematics & Statistics, Mathematics. This position will provide a student the opportunity to work closely with a faculty member in Statistics.

The Research Assistant is needed to input statistical questions into quiz test banks in Canvas for STAT 263: Introduction to Statistics - Algebra Based for the Fall 2020 term.

What You'll Do

A Research Assistant will be required to develop multiple choice/essay/matching options for pre-written questions. The Research Assistant will be asked to develop questions/solutions to fill in any gaps in the question databases. 


Mandatory participation in a synchronous STAT 263 class to gain insight to help fulfill this task.

Required Qualifications*

Knowledge and competency in statistics is a must. 

Desired Qualifications*

 Knowledge of Minitab will be helpful.

Work Schedule

It is anticipated that the Research Assistant will spend 4 hours a week for 15 weeks.
