Position is located in Ithaca, NY, within the ILR School on the campus of Cornell University, or can be based remotely within New York State. The School of Industrial and Labor Relations at Cornell University has an immediate opening for a Research Associate in the K. Lisa Yang and Hock E. Tan Institute on Employment and Disability in the Extension/Outreach Division. Our Team: The Yang-Tan Institute (YTI) conducts research and provides continuing education and technical assistance on many aspects of disability in the workplace. Researchers and practitioners at YTI have helped companies, labor organizations, government agencies, schools, and communities throughout the United States and abroad to accommodate and integrate individuals with disabilities. Our team consults with business and industry, and with policy makers, educators, disability advocates, and rehabilitation practitioners. What you will do: This position will conduct program evaluation, research, and dissemination activities in support of several research projects funded to the Yang Tan Institute on Employment and Disability (YTI). The position will be responsible for the design and implementation of research studies, communicating summary research findings to team members, writing of research and evaluation reports for funding agencies, and scholarly publications for submission to peer-reviewed journals, contributing to proposal grant writing, and assisting with annual project reporting across a number of YTI projects. Research Associate is a full-time, academic, non-tenure track, term position with an initial appointment through September 30, 2025. The position may be re-appointed based on recommendations by the appropriate YTI Leadership and Associate Dean for Outreach, as well as available funding and work.
