The mission of the Bioinformatics & Genomics Department is to develop novel computational approaches to important biological problems, and to provide training in the science that underlies them.
|Primary Purpose of Position||
Develop Integrated Genome Browser. Contribute to research articles and grant proposals.
|Summary of Position Responsibilities||
The main responsibility will be to develop and support Integrated Genome Browser (IGB). The IGB project aims to provide flexible, free, and user-friendly software to help biologists explore and analyze genomic data. (See http://bioviz.org to download IGB and view the IGB Developer’s Guide.) The focus of this position is on the IGB project, but the incumbent in this position will be encouraged to contribute to all projects in the lab, especially projects where data visualization with IGB plays a role.
