Position Summary

This research position focuses on the cutting-edge field of bioinformatics, with a particular emphasis on the whole genome analysis of DNA damage and repair mechanisms. The unique aspect of this study is its exploration in four dimensions – three spatial dimensions (3D) combined with the dimension of circadian time, referred to as 4D. This innovative approach aims to comprehensively understand the dynamic processes involved in DNA integrity and its repair mechanisms over time. Collecting and managing large datasets of genomic information. This includes next-generation sequencing data, 3D chromatin organization datasets, and time-series data.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent); for candidates demonstrating comparable independent research productivity, will accept a relevant Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution. May require terminal degree and licensure.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience

Previous experience in a research laboratory environment.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience

The ideal candidate will minimally have a Masters in biology, chemistry or a related life sciences field. Most important is a candidate that is excited to learn new laboratory techniques and willing to be flexible in their role to support the growth of the lab.
