Job Summary:
Lineberger Cancer Center laboratory is seeking a scientist to independently guide assay development, genomic analysis, and preclinical in vivo assessment of therapeutic agents targeting receptor and intracellular tyrosine kinases. The lab identified and has studied these several RTK genes for 20 years and now using genetically engineered mice and chemical agents to understand the mechanisms of their actions. These kinases have roles in the mouse innate immune system, and in neoplastic cells. Assays of MerTK action in human samples will also be developed. Expertise in immune analysis, genomic analysis and biochemical, molecular assays are areas of interest. Experience with mouse models of cancer is highly desired.  
Minimum Qualifications:
Three (3) years of experience in industry or academia with a range of immune, molecular, cellular and animal model experimentation experience required. Four (4) or more years preferred. Postdoctoral experience is desired but not required.PhD in relevant biomedical science.
