The Dr. Arnab Chakravarti Lab / Dr. Kamalakannan Palanichamy Group are looking for a highly motivated candidate to work on translational research by utilizing genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and metabolomic profiles of patient biopsies. The focus is to identify the molecular hub mediating therapeutic resistance, dissecting the mechanism of action, and validating them in clinically relevant modes. 
Additional job responsibilities and expectations include willingness to learn new concepts and techniques; preparing research results and writing manuscripts for publication; assisting with grant applications; designing experiments; collecting and analyzing preliminary data; optimizing and troubleshooting scientific techniques; participating in lab meetings, focus groups, scientific meetings, and conferences; training students and research staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in biology/molecular biology/genetics/biochemistry/biological chemistry; or equivalent experience required; Master's degree preferred. 1-3 years of relevant experience required. 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred. Experience in biology, genetics, molecular biology, cell biology, and/or biochemistry preferred; ability to perform techniques in molecular biology including sterile cell/tissue culture, cancer phenotypic assays such as cell proliferation, cell migration/invasion, apoptosis, cloning, flow cytometry, immunoblotting, DNA, RNA, protein, and metabolite extraction, qPCR, etc. Requires successful completion of a background check; qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
