The College of Pharmacy is looking for a Research Associate to serve as a member of the Pharmaceutical Sciences team. We desire an individual who subscribes to and supports our commitment as stated above. Required Education:

  • Appropriate Bachelor’s

Required Experience:

  • Two years of relevant professional experience

Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Ability to draft manuscripts based on experimental results.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze data, compile results, prepare reports, and present their conclusions.
  • Knowledgeable in bacterial infection mouse models.
  • Knowledgeable in inflammasome activation and sepsis.
  • Ability to communicate with others.
  • Ability to perform standard molecular biology, tissue culture, and animal related studies.
  • Ability to read and comprehend literature in his/her field

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor degree in chemistry or molecular biology is preferred

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working with diverse individuals and communities. 

Preferred Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to mentor and train junior students or undergraduate research students in the laboratory.
  • Ability to work independently on his/her project

Job Responsibilities

  • The research associate will intensively participate in data analysis and preliminary data collection
  • The researcher will also compile data files set from research teams.
  • The assigned work will be extended to collect, interpret, and analyze data, compile results, prepare reports, and present their conclusions.
  • Provide support for establishing a workshop for interprofessional education
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
