The College of Pharmacy is looking for a Research Associate to serve as a member of the Pharmaceutical Sciences team. We desire an individual who subscribes to and supports our commitment as stated above. The successful applicant will bring an expert level of experience to the position and understand the demands of supporting executives in a fast-paced environment. This person must be professional, enjoy working in a high-volume environment and be able to apply strong organizational skills while being flexible in their daily routine. Required Education:
- Appropriate Bachelor’s
Required Experience:
- Two years of relevant professional experience
Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
- Ability to draft manuscripts based on experimental results.
- Ability to interpret and analyze data, compile results, prepare reports, and present their conclusions.
- Knowledgeable in bacterial infection mouse models.
- Knowledgeable in inflammasome activation and sepsis.
- Ability to communicate with others.
- Ability to perform standard molecular biology, tissue culture, and animal related studies.
- Ability to read and comprehend literature in his/her field
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor degree in chemistry or molecular biology is preferred
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working with diverse individuals and communities.
Preferred Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to mentor and train junior students or undergraduate research students in the laboratory.
- Ability to work independently on his/her project
Job Responsibilities
- The research associate will intensively participate in data analysis and preliminary data collection
- The researcher will also compile data files set from research teams.
- The assigned work will be extended to collect, interpret, and analyze data, compile results, prepare reports, and present their conclusions.
- Provide support for establishing a workshop for interprofessional education
- Perform other duties as assigned.
