Job Description
Purpose:
The Research Associate will play a critical role in guiding research analysis, drafting scientific proposals and papers, and maintaining high standards of scientific rigor in the laboratory research.
Responsibilities:
Research Analysis and Reporting:
- Lead and facilitate in-depth analysis of research data.
- Ensure accuracy and validity in data interpretation.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and scientific papers for publication.
Proposal and Grant Writing:
- Spearhead the development of research proposals.
- Coordinate grant applications, ensuring adherence to funding body guidelines.
- Manage timelines and deliverables for proposal submissions.
Scientific Writing and Communication:
- Draft and edit scientific manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals.
- Develop and maintain documentation of research methodologies and results.
- Communicate research findings at conferences and seminars.
Collaborative Research Support:
- Collaborate with research teams to align technical laboratory activities with research goals.
- Provide guidance on experimental design and methodology.
- Facilitate cross-disciplinary research initiatives and partnerships.
Quality Control and Compliance:
- Uphold stringent quality control measures in research practices.
- Ensure compliance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Review and update laboratory protocols and procedures as needed.
What we need:
- Bachelor’s degree of equivalent combination of education and experience
- Two years of related experience
What is helpful:
- Master's or PhD in Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Experience in scientific research and technical writing.
- Demonstrated ability in the analysis of complex research data.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and scientific software.
Work Location:
- Main Campus – College Station, TX.
