The College of Pharmacy is looking for a Research Associate to serve as a member of the Pharmaceutical Sciences team. We desire an individual who subscribes to and supports our commitment as stated above. The successful applicant will bring an expert level of experience to the position and understand the demands of supporting executives in a fast-paced environment. This person must be professional, enjoy working in a high-volume environment and be able to apply strong organizational skills while being flexible in their daily routine. Required Education:

  • Appropriate Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience:

  • 2 years' of relevant professional experience

Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelors or Master’s in biology or cancer biology

Preferred Experience:

  • 3+ years’ relevant professional experience

  • Prior experience in cell culture and cell and molecular biology techniques.

  • Experience working with diverse individuals and communities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design protocol for lab procedure projects including but not limited to, cell isolation using techniques such as cell culture, Western blot, DNA and RNA purification, PCR, ELISA, immunocytochemistry/histochemistry and flow cytometry.

  • Participate in general lab organization and maintenance, email,

  • Maintain detailed and accurate records.

  • Maintenance of animal care

  • Orders and supply, and performs other duties as assigned.
