Job Summary | The College of Pharmacy invites applications for a full-time 1.00 FTE, 12-month, fixed-term, Research Associate or Senior Research Associate 1 position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Department Head as appropriate. The Sahay Lab at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Oregon State University is developing non-viral vectors for gene therapy. Lipid based nanoparticles were pivotal for the success of mRNA vaccines The current project aims to develop targeted nanotherapeutics for prime editing for treatment of inherited genetic diseases. This position will utilize expertise in nanomedicine and perform studies that will enable preclinical IND studies. The incumbent will be responsible for working with chemists, biologists, and clinicians and help in translational activity with the Center for Drug Delivery of Imaging (CIDDI). The lab is comprised of an interdisciplinary team and supports collaborations with formulation scientists, biologists, engineers and clinicians, in addition to career development of team members and growth as independent scientists. The lab is located at the SW Waterfront of the Robertson Life Sciences Building in Portland, OR that houses scientists from OSU, OHSU and PSU. |
