Position Description

The Research Associate Senior will conduct and organize data collection and analysis and assist in research on specified projects including Literature review, Manuscript writing, Grant writing and application. The candidate will maintain active research grants and funding for clinic research activities and Study results reporting to different stakeholders. The candidate will communicate with IRB, Trauma registry, ULH research, and different study sponsors and educate and present to medical students, residents, and fellows regarding data review and analysis, research requirements, and authorization process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct and organize data collection and analysis and assist in research on specified projects. Manuscript and grant writing, including budgeting for a grant and grant maintenance. Communication with different research stakeholders. Management of patient databases within the clinic and hospital setting.
  • Successful clinics and hospital management tasks and organize the clinic, and where possible help with the preparation of laboratory manuscripts and abstracts. This position will also offer the opportunity for consultation with other clinics.
  • Supervision and teaching of post-doctoral fellows, residents, medical students, and others rotating through the department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Provide training to support clinics and hospital personnel. Working in collaboration with the principal investigator regarding analysis, and organization of data for publication.
