Essential Functions (Job Duties)
Research positions in the field of neuroscience and visual sciences are available. We use electrophysiological, morphological, and molecular biological methods to investigate the neurons' morphology and functions in the retina. We are looking to hire lab personnel who will conduct patch clamp recordings, immunohistochemistry, and molecular biological studies. Knowledge and experiences in cell biology and animal handling are required.
1. Conducting patch clamp recordings from neurons in the mouse retina.
2. Performing intraocular virus injection to mouse eyes.
3. Conducting immunohistochemical study using confocal microscopy.
4. Conducting mouse behavioral studies.
5. Making experimental solutions, maintenance of chemicals, and set-up with equipment.
BS, Ph.D. or equivalent
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work both in a team environment and independently.
Experiences in neuroscience or vision research.
