Position Summary
The UNC University School of Medicine and the Department of Neurosurgery invite applications for a fixed term Research Associate Professor position. The successful candidate will spend 100% of their time in research activities and will be expected to establish an externally funded independent research program, provide exemplary mentorship, and engage in productive scientific collaborations. A strong basic and clinical research program in brain tumor therapies is desired with the opportunity for robust collaborations in translational neuro-oncology. Ability to establish collaborative relationships with foundations and industry partners is highly desired.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
PhD in Neuroscience, Biochemistry, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Interest and focus on the development of novel therapies for brain tumors.
