Minimum Qualifications

Ph.D. with three years of applied research experience in a related field. A Master's degree and five years of applied research experience may be substituted for the requirements noted. The university offers market competitive salary and benefits. Grade EE.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred candidates should have Ph.D. or M.D. degree and strong background in microbiology, cell immunology and inflammation.
  • Practical experience with molecular and cellular biology techniques and animal tumor models.
  • Expertise in flow cytometry and bioinformatic analysis is desirable.
Position Description

Grant Funded Position. Continued employment contingent on grant renewals.

Position will be responsible for the project involves studies using human and rodent samples to understand the impacts of dietary-factor interactions with gut microbiota on immune regulation in high fat diet induced obesity and tumor models. We employ genetic mouse models, primary cell cultures, molecular, and proteomics approaches for our work. The individual should also independently collect, organize, and perform statistical analysis of data generated from the experiments. A number of exciting projects are available in the areas of colitis immunology and alcohol-related gut inflammation.
