Position Summary:


Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Associate II for the Rutgers Center for Advancing Research & Evaluation for Patient-Centered Care (CARE-PC) at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Under the guidance of the Director of Administration and Research Project Manager, is responsible for the conduct of specialized behavioral and social science research and evaluation across multiple projects; supervises project staff and coordinates activities within the Center.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Supervises research project staff and coordinates tasks and schedules of staff across multiple projects.
  • Trains project staff in study design, processes, and related computer software.
  • In cooperation with the Director and Executive Director, conducts yearly evaluations of staff including providing individual goal setting.
  • Provides input on data collection and database needs for the department's grants and programs. Assists with training and ongoing monitoring of workflow for timeliness and accuracy of data collection by staff.
  • Participates in study design including the development of study protocols, instruments, and databases to ensure conformance with goals and objectives of the department and the institution.
  • Responsible for coordination of all aspects of primary research studies, including but not limited to study recruitment, enrollment, IRB compliance, data collection, maintenance, storage, and management, overall research information management, and ensuring project timeline adherence.
  • Assists the Director of Administration and Research Program Manager in timely completion of all requirements of grant reporting including but not limited to progress reports, enrollment tables, and completion reports.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Ph.D. or equivalent in Public Health, social or behavioral science; or Master's Degree as indicated plus three (3) years of related experience in a health research setting; prior supervisory experience is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in quantitative data management.
