Posting Text | The Geographical Sciences Center of Excellence (GSCE) at South Dakota State University (SDSU) seeks applications for a Research Associate I to begin on June 22, 2024. This is a 12-month, full-time, and benefit-eligible position. This position is dependent on funding and performance. The GSCE, housed in the Department of Geography & Geospatial Sciences, has a mission to apply geospatial techniques, especially remote sensing, to advance the scientific understanding of the Earth System and the consequences of a changing global landscape. This position is supervised by the Department Head for Geography and Geospatial Sciences. This posting will be used to fill three Research Associate I positions. RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful candidate will be expected to conduct the following activities: Develop algorithms to process time series data observed from polar-orbiting and geostationary satellites.
