Position Summary

A combination of quantitative genetics, computational biology and molecular biology approaches will be used. 

The Hu lab in the MSU-DOE Plant Research Laboratory at Michigan State University is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to work on a collaborative project. The aim of the project is to examine dynamic transcriptomic changes in response to genetic variation and diverse environmental stresses and to develop system biology approaches to illustrate the underlying gene regulatory network. A combination of quantitative genetics, computational biology and molecular biology approaches will be used.  The successful candidate will use soybean to examine dynamic transcriptomic changes in response to genetic variation and diverse environmental stresses, as well as to develop system biology approaches to illustrate the underlying gene regulatory network.

Required Degree

Doctorate -Plant Biology or a related field


Minimum Requirements

A Ph.D. in plant biology or a related field and prior research experience in quantitative genetics, large-scale transcriptome data and biological network analysis are required.


Desired Qualifications

Good oral and written communication skills are essential.
