The Department of Romance Studies seeks to hire an Research Associate with extensive expertise in the relationship between sound, media, and cultural practices in Latin America. Areas of focus should include how sound practices and technologies have influenced and shaped Latin American literature, music, art, and film productions and how sound has been used to express the region's identity and political perspectives. The successful candidate will provide research assistance to faculty from April 1st, 2023 to June 30th, 2023. A Ph.D. in Romance Studies, knowledge of digital archiving software, and fluency in Spanish and Portuguese are required. Please submit a CV and cover letter by March 20, 2023.
