Pay Range Information | Chapman University is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position. This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Salary offers are determined based on the final candidate’s qualifications and experience, as well as internal equity and other internal factors. The anticipated pay range is not a promise of a particular wage. |
Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary | The Smith Institute for Political Economy and Philosophy at Chapman University seeks up to three two-year research associates, beginning in August 2024. Candidates in the disciplines of economics and philosophy are particularly welcome, but we will seriously consider any candidate interested in pursuing work that cuts across disciplines of social sciences and humanities more broadly. The Smith Institute houses scholars from economics, literature, film and philosophy. Its mission is to reintegrate the study of economics and the humanities, and to combine undergraduate education and research as a discovery process. Members of the institute are encouraged to pursue these aims by teaching innovative classes. This is an exempt Academic Professional/ Administrator position. This position is eligible for participation in our health and welfare benefits, supplemental retirement plan, accrued sick time, vacation, and Holiday pay. |
