What you need to know

Required Education and Experience:

  • Appropriate Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Biology, or related field (completed by December 2020)
  • 2 years’ relevant professional experience

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, Biology, or related field
  • Experience conducting human subject research

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work with young children and families
  • Ability to lead and manage teams (or leadership experience)
  • Spanish language fluency

Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection - collect, through in-person and virtual modalities, behavioral and psychophysiological data with parents and children.
  • Supervise and coordinate research teams - coordinate scheduling and supervise the work of undergraduate researchers by identifying areas of priority, assigning tasks, tracking progress, and answering questions as needed.
  • Human subjects participant recruitment and scheduling - recruit families for human subjects research using mailing, social-media, e-mail, and in-person methods; establish relationships with community partners for participant recruitment.
  • Data coding and management - clean and score behavioral and psychophysiological data; construct data sets for statistical analysis; work with the Primary Investigator to organize data storage and sharing.
  • Other - Performs other duties as assigned.
